Late last year I was proud to discover my recent Boise Weekly article, Far from the tree, found its way to the Berman Exposed website. Rick Berman is the PR flack whose astroturfing gained notoriety in ’09.

So I’ve been looking forward to hunting around the web for my latest piece, ‘Experts’ justify profiling, body scanners with familiar paranoid rhetoric, since it was published on Sunday Jan. 3rd. (READ IT AFTER THE JUMP.)

My employer, The Raw Story, has an agreement that makes it legal for Alternet to feature our original stories. This past week was the first time they picked up one of my articles on their homepage, and after a few days, it is about to draw 150 comments.

Then I notice paleo-conservative TV commentator Pat Buchanan linking to my story on his Twitter account. The link takes you to his own site, where most of my work is reproduced with my byline and a link to RawStory at the bottom.

Around the web, I’m finding my story re-published on sites called: Information Liberation, Puppet Gov, Progressive News Daily, One Riot, and even Obama Bowel Movement. I’d say the best named sites that picked up my story are Memeorandum and Intoxination. If you haven’t already grabbed my article and posted it on your own site without asking me, here it is. (more…)
